Song Lim

This project is a printmaking series composed of 100 motifs created on zinc plates.

The images originate from my drawings, which capture fleeting moments from everyday life.

These drawings are inspired by silhouettes where human figures overlap with natural or man-made objects.

The silhouettes appear either as abstract formations or in figurative forms.

The exhibition Sun, Tree, Stone developed from this etching project, which centers on capturing the moments of intersection between human presence and surrounding objects or elements of nature.

Each motif exists in only two printed copies. These two prints, along with their corresponding etched plates, are displayed together in a shared space.

There, they are accompanied by various archival tools, and through this evolving arrangement, they generate new contexts within the installation.
