If we consider the cuts and marks on the stone as physical records, we can learn a lot from them. The myriad wheels and shoes that trundle across the cobblestone streets are the pens that write history. All the rubbing, hitting and sliding leaves different marks on the surface of the stone. By tracing the stone grain with a pencil and writing it down, a physical history book of local history is put back on display.
